Our newest projects, we will be working hand & hand with FIELD Foundation. With your support, we can provide each child with everything they will need to attend these classes. We are working with the Youth at Ban Huai Khao Karen Village. If we have enough support we can add more schools to participate

Donate a Tree or a Tray of Veggies

IMG_7833.jpeg

The rainy season has arrived, and that means lots of farming to be done. We are hoping with your help we can plant many trees and salad vegetables this season.

Each tray contains a variety of vegetables about 200 plants per tray.

We will be planting lots of different trees including the beautiful Queen Suea Krong Tree, which blooms the prettiest pink flowers.

A small portion of the money raised, will go towards a new greenhouse in the future.

Aid for The Karen Villagers in Crisis

IMG_6061.jpeg
IMG_6059.jpeg

We have been sharing and updating you on the Karen Crisis at the Myanmar border. Over 70 Karen families have fled to the forest for safety. One of our mahouts families has also fled. Since the beginning of April 2024 we have sent over 15,000 Baht of rice, canned veggies, canned fish, salted fish and bottled water, but much more is needed. These families have lost everything due to fire bombs on their homes. We are in need of donations to help provide manual can openers, pots to cook rice, clothing, hygiene products, and tarps to stay dry and protected from the sun. please consider donating here. Thank You

Our First Trip To Deliver Aid Was A Success

The last week in April our team headed out on an eleven hour journey. We loaded the truck with over $400 US Dollars of canned fish, water, rice, noodles and some fresh vegetables for the Karen Villagers seeking aid in the forest near the red border.

During the trip our team was able to find out more information on what is needed still. We were also is shock on how many children were displaced my the ongoing violence towards the Karen people. Our first trip was a success!!!! it wont be our last. Please consider donating to help us provide aid to these suffering people.

It's Hip To Snip

PROJECT COMPLETE

updated: June 15, 2023

Our It's Hip to Snip is completed. We were able to sterilize 17 dogs and 19 cats in Ban Huai Khao Village. We would like to thank Save Elephant Foundation for your amazing vet team that made all this possible. Also our amazing team on the ground and to everyone that has donated to make this possible. We didn't reach our goal for this project so the donation button is still active.

........................................

There are a number of street dogs in the Ban Huai Khao Karen village, so you can imagine they are free to breed We have managed to contact the Livestock office about sterilization for at least 30 dogs, which they have agreed to do. This is time sensitive, as we have had difficulties finding an appropriate area big enough to use. We have now been granted the use of the school football field. As the children go back to school at the beginning of May, we have a short time frame to raise the funds for this. All the dogs will be sterilized in one day, so with the after care to make sure they are ok, it is going to be a long day's work.

Karen Ban Village, is home for numerous children in the Karen Tribe. During multiple visits to Thailand, it became evident that the existing playground was unsafe and unenjoyable for the kids. Rust, broken equipment, and open spaces posed risks, prompting the need for a new playground. The new play area boasts a leveled ground, reinforced support wall, shaded roof, and comfortable turf grass.

 Bridge at Karen Elephant Home:

PROJECT COMPLETED

The bridge at Karen Elephant Home symbolizes a new beginning for visitors, signifying a safe passage to freedom and a warm welcome. In the past, the old bridge posed dangers, especially during the rainy season, making it treacherous to cross. This bridge serves as a tangible connection between myself and KEH, fostering a friendship built on trust and strength. It stands as a poignant reminder of the importance of solid foundations in establishing meaningful relationships and ensuring safe journeys forward.
